Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan Foundation Day 2020

Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan is the Premier Organization in the Field of School Education. Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan were established in 15 December 1963 with the sole purpose of offering quality education to the children of transferable central government employees, including those in the defence and paramilitary services. The chain began with about 20 schools over five decades ago.

The schools are run by the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS), an autonomous organisation under the Ministry of Education and are considered the best schools in the country. Around 95% examinees from these schools passed the Class 10 and 12 board exams for the past five years – a significantly better pass-percentage than the average of 82% for all schools affiliated to the board in the same period.

Their reputation attracts even those not on the central government or armed forces. To cater to the huge demand, the government decided to start a second shift in some of the schools from 2004-05. At present, 66 KVs are running in double shift. 

Schools teaching children from border or disturbed areas such as Ladakh, Kargil, the north eastern states, Himachal Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand.

राष्ट्रीय शिक्षा दिवस 2020

स्वतंत्र भारत के पहले शिक्षा मंत्री मौलाना अबुल कलाम आज़ाद की जयंती को हर साल 11 नवंबर को राष्ट्रीय शिक्षा दिवस के रूप में मनाया जाता है।मौलाना अबुल कलाम आजाद का जन्म 11 नवंबर 1888 को हुआ था। वे 15 अगस्त 1947 से 2 फरवरी 1958 तक शिक्षा मंत्री रहे। 
एक सुधारक और स्वतंत्रता सेनानी, मौलाना अबुल कलाम आज़ाद केवल एक विद्वान नहीं थे, बल्कि शिक्षा के माध्यम से राष्ट्र के निर्माण के लिए प्रतिबद्ध थे।

राष्ट्रीय शिक्षा दिवस का इतिहास- 

मौलाना सैय्यद अबुल कलाम गुलाम मुहियुद्दीन अहमद बिन खैरुद्दीन अल-हुसैनी आज़ाद एक विद्वान और स्वतंत्रता कार्यकर्ता थे और लोकप्रिय रूप से मौलाना आज़ाद के रूप में जाने जाते थे। अपने कार्यकाल के दौरान, वह भारतीय राष्ट्रीय कांग्रेस के वरिष्ठ नेताओं में से एक थे जिन्होंने एक राष्ट्रीय शिक्षा प्रणाली की स्थापना की। इसलिए, उनका प्राथमिक ध्यान मुफ्त प्राथमिक शिक्षा प्रदान करने पर था। एक शिक्षाविद् और स्वतंत्रता सेनानी के रूप में उनके योगदान के लिए 1992 में, उन्हें भारत रत्न - देश का सर्वोच्च नागरिक सम्मान दिया गया।

राष्ट्रीय शिक्षा दिवस का महत्व-

भारतीय प्रौद्योगिकी संस्थान (IIT) और विश्वविद्यालय अनुदान आयोग (UGC) की नींव में उनका योगदान उल्लेखनीय था | उनका दृढ़ विश्वास था कि प्राथमिक शिक्षा को मातृभाषा में व्यक्त किया जाना चाहिए। 1949 में उन्होंने आधुनिक विज्ञान में जानकारी प्रदान करने के महत्व पर ध्यान केंद्रित किया। वह एक स्वतंत्रता सेनानी थे और ब्रिटिश सरकार की आलोचना करने के लिए अल-हिलाल नामक उर्दू में एक साप्ताहिक पत्रिका शुरू की।
